Hi,
I've had Shake for a few months now and am really liking it. My CMI tute DVD's ought to be here soon so I'll get a lot better by going over those for sure.
Based on the above, I have very limited experience with tracking and matchmoving. I've done some with Curious gFxPro but they've sold out to Adobe so it's a dead end.
I'm wondering if I'd be more marketable knowing PF Track/Match than just Shake and whether PFHoe Pro is even a contender?
At this point I'm just doing my own stuff, adding C4d generated elements to my own shot HDV video (I do know the downsides to HDV) but would like to get up the skills to freelance.
Since I'm so new, I don't really know the difference between PFTrack and PFMatch. From CMI's free tute I understand PFHoe Pro however.
Does PFMatch basically give Shake PFTrack abilities?

the thing is... it does to a degree.
But if your a freelancer.. it might be a great idea to market that you are a good 3d tracker. AND get a thumb drive with pfHoe Pro on it.
bring it with you to jobs. you will be invaluable that way.
not every where you go has intutive tools. AND sometimes they are impressed with the speed that you work.
that price of hoe pro is to good for everyone not to have a copy of it.
pftrack is GREAT.. but much more advanced.. it should be used if you are working on some HIGH END shots, if you are a TD using houdini, maya, c4d etc.. you might want a copy of track next to you. maybe even hoe pro too for quick stuff.
i love hoe pro. its awseome. not just because i designed the gui.. because the technology just makes good sense.
