I think this forum is a little shy of items so I'll post a small animation I worked on yesterday. This is just the animation portion of the piece (its missing the voice over and text). In this case I started with C4D, rendered out a 24-bit png sequence which I then reduced to 8-bit using a PhotoShop action. From there I imported the sequence into Flash, broke the sequence up into 4 smaller animations and exported them as swf files. By using the PS to further reduce the png sequence I was able to get the individual frame sizes down to around 12K so each of the sequences were somewhere between 130K and 550K. Load times are real concern for us as our content is built on the fly and streamed.
I did try exporting and FLV (from After Effects) but I wasn't happy with the noise created by the compression. So I opted to use png sequences which proves to be a bit more time consuming with slightly larger file sizes but this time the quality was much better.
I have another dozen of these segments to build so if there's interest I'll post a few more.

hmmmm.
Sorry folks I don't seem to be able to attach the swf file. It's about 1500K perhaps that's too large. If anyone can provide some assistance I'll try to repost it.
