best matchmove techniques for green screen productionHey, i have just joined this forum minutes back. Being a filmmaking student i have a new upcoming project where recreaction of history has to be done. So it will include green screen production.
Can i get suggestions on what kind of post-production teqniques are best to match the camera movements.I am confused between the strength and ease of use between shake, the pixel farm, nuke and imagineer.
I work on an intel imac. Any suggestion will be of great help.
Thanks

You need Shake and PFTrack (and maybe a 3d software).
when you film you will have to bring markers on green screen. Then load your sequence in PFTrack and track it. You can then export that to shake and/or to your 3d application.
Get the Shake 3D DVD from this site, it's clearly explained.

more infoSome will use ORANGE tape instead of Green.
This is not terribly important, but when roto time comes to remove the X marks when they intersect other obects.. Its best to have a color with a value in the middle.
by value, i mean if i turned both the orange and green to greyscale... they would be only slighty different. Black is better to track... but make an X with the tape for the markers and put a black sharpie marker point in the center of the X.
although, im not sure if there is another marker method for using:

not sure if it gets destroyed by tape marks.
