Hello,

We have a pepfest coming up at our school this upcoming month. I was hoping that you could show us how you did the Cinema4D text effect that you created using MoGraph. An example for anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about can be seen at the beginning of the new tutorials that are being created.

I've included a small screen shot showing where I'm currently at. Any help would be much appreciated. I can't quite figure out how you did the shading, it appears the shading changes color via the music. I'm pretty sure I figured out the whole extrude to music thing, but I would really like to see how you did it.

Doesn't this involve the sound effector and the shader effector ?
I think you can use the text tool from mograph and then drag these two effectors in the effects tab and then its a matter of settings...

Yes it does Smile

This was my first attempt and I was flying blind Smile

. But after taking some http://cineversity.com tutorials on MoGraph thats when I realized that you had to use the "Sound Effector", and the MoGraph text object that lets you actually do the shading etc... I also tried using Xpresso to do the shading, but I didn't get that to work.

. I'm still looking forward to the cmiVFX tutorial, I plan on getting it.

I'm pretty new to MoGraph and Cinema4D, just got it a month ago or so, and its been pretty busy around here. I tried doing the text effect using the built in color options inside the Sound Effector where you can pick multiple colors, and it changes depending on the range.

Do you know of a tutorial talking about the Shader Effector?
