I intend to add SynthEyes to our small studio's pipeline, in the very near future. It does the job well and the price is hard to beat.
I also considered pfTrack which is wonderful but for us it could not be justified at the moment.
For both, the availability of an exporter to Houdini is a deciding criteria for us.
PS Some freebie (or even a commercial tut) outlining SynthEyes usage with some 3D app (I know I'd prefer Houdini) would be most welcome.

you must try thisDude,
YOU MUST TRY PFHO PRO..
i know it seems low end right? but check out my demo video on the tutorials page. ITS dirt cheap, and smokes syntheyes. It has my official backing. (Not because i designed the gui either... cuz i had lots more cool effects they couldnt get into that...) you will make sure you will have that thing on all workstations.

pfHoe looks very nice, true. We might get it as well, but for serious production we also need a tool for manual tracking. So in the end it will be SynthEyes and pfHoe probably.
What do you mean by smoking syntheyes? Quality of the tracking? Speed? Quality of the camera solution?

its the overall experienceThe tracker from ho pro is the pftrack algorythm. Cant beat that with lower end algo's.
Also, you will be quite surprised about the versatility of ho pro. its an app to try for sure.
