Hi, David:
Will you consider the subject of a procedure crowd system,
which will combine all the houdini's modules to archieve
various parts of the all system,that will be very very interesting.

for HOUDINI 9, some condidates for you:
procedure driven character rigging
fluid,
fur/hair/grass
volumetric shading/rendering
with all the previous interesting topics, you can make a nice tutorial collections
for us i believe.

About behavioural particle animation/crowd sim...
it's no2 or no3 in our list of DVD to come! ( No 1 is VEX/VOP )

There's a lot to cover in crowd sim, even theoretically and not just for Houdini. The info available is awfully scarce.
We have projects to combine crowd sim and procedural character animation to make Houdini a tool really like Massive or even Endorphin.
Hair/fur is not our first priority.
volumetric shading/rendering will be covered in the « rendering suite ».

Lot of stuff to do, and to come Smile

thanks for the feedback, david, I'll be expecting, the rendering suite sounds
very exciting too.
you know the best thing about your houdini DVD is that you also teach theory
behind the "button", and that's the way how houdini should be taught imho,
more PRACTICAL than "push button" tutorials, yes, more practical:O)
hope you can keep doing that for your future release,

(There are more then 1 types of crowd sims)

we can definately cover some. let me know if you need the Giant's Stadium footage.. or if you want some NYC panoramas
