Pyrocluster is underrated!!!

Hey guys, I guess someone had to kick off the C4D part of the forum, so let it be me Shocked

I have to say that even though Cinema 4D is using an older (and not upgraded) version of Pyrocluster, it can still create some pretty interresting results. During the holidays (especially this week), I will be posting some Pyrocluster examples, from water to fire, in hope that I will enlighten a few of you to switch to Maxon's well kept jewel Smile.

Here's the first example:

It still needs a little bit more work, I don't like the way the particles are rotating but in terms of coloring, I think I did a pretty decent job. No post was needed, this is the direct output from C4D. Rendered in about 2 hours on an x4200 with 2 gigs of ram. Also, it appears that the particles are jaggy and moving in a random motion, but rest assure that's the camera's vibrations...I should have added some geometry to give a better perspective but time was against me.

Next example will be some simple cigarette smoke. Renderring will begin now and hopefully, when I get back from my hockey game I iwll be able to upload a .mov for you guys. Feel free to ask about them btw and to upload your own stuff of course.

Like promised, subtle cigarrete smoke:

I know it's the not best smoke, but keep in mind I did it pretty fast haha, I actually whish I would have done more preview renders. Once again, no post was necessary. Rendered like all my clips from 9.6, on a x4200 with 2 gigs of ram (render time was about 1 hour and a half...the AO was the timekill).

Next renders will involve water (fosset particles and underwater ones). Will try to upload both of them tomorrow.

Here is the explosion in a tunnel, I added the tunnel to create a perspective to the scene:

Here is a screen image (with my UI of C4D) of a sandstorm simulation based off of pyrocluster:

I would have uploaded a video, but because of the fast motion, it only looks good on very high settings, such as the animation codec, and it would take you guys too long to download Sad. Enjoy.

...I guess no one is interrested Sad

New to Cinema4D

Chris got me interested in Cinema4D, I must say it is much more intuitive then Maya. I've been very happy with the software. Hey, I would like to take a look at what your building, but the links don't work. Could you re-post?

I'm also looking forward to your C4D tutorials. Right now I'm learning MoGraph.

Talk to you later,
Paul
